With the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and community in mind, Grace Farms has temporarily closed to the public as of March 9 and remains closed. All events and programs scheduled during that time are cancelled or will be rescheduled for a later date.

Due to the temporary closure, we are unable to host the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course at Grace Farms.

We invite you to explore an online option for the course that will be offered directly with our partner Copper Beech Institute.  The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course begins on April 9 in an online format and Copper Beech would be thrilled to welcome you! Click here to learn more and register. Additionally, Copper Beech Institute is also offering free, live resources each day to support you through these challenging and stressful times.

Although Grace Farms is temporarily closed, the work of Grace Farms Foundation continues through our work to serve the needs of our community during these challenging times. Learn more about our work to donate food to our neighbors in New Canaan and surrounding communities.

We look forward to re-opening as soon as possible and welcoming you to future Open Arts Studio programs. Please check our website and subscribe to our newsletter for additional updates.

Join us for an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course taught by Dr. Brandon Nappi, founder and Executive Director of Copper Beech Institute. The course will provide participants with the tools to help cultivate greater mindfulness in their day-to-day lives. A contemplative practice, mindfulness helps to awaken your senses, expand your capacity for presence, and come into greater awareness of yourself and your connectedness to others. This course is open to people at any level of contemplative experience, including beginners.

Benefits of MBSR include:

    • Increased well-being and happiness
    • Less stress and anxiety
    • Strengthened immune system
    • Less emotional reactivity
    • Greater focus and cognitive flexibility
    • Greater empathy and compassion
    • Lasting decreases in physical and psychological symptoms
    • Reductions in pain levels and an enhanced ability to cope with pain

Your registration includes the full 8-week course, held from 7 – 9:30 pm on Wednesdays from April 1 through May 20, with a full-day retreat held on Saturday, May 9 from 10 am – 5 pm. An orientation via video conference call will be held prior to the start of the course on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 pm.

As part of our commitment to support those on the front lines of service, a discounted rate is available for individuals working with not-for-profit organizations. For more information, please contact Melissa Stern at mstern@gracefarmsfoundation.org.

This course is approved for 26 hours of Continuing Education Credits.
