Ma Within Architecture

The concept of ‘ma’ encompasses the appreciation of empty or in-between spaces, emphasizing the balance between presence and absence. These in-between voids are just as important as the elements they separate. In contemplative spaces, the ‘ma’ can bring a sense of calmness and harmony that allows one to go beyond the ‘everyday’.
