Experience the magic of summer at Grace Farms

This season, we’re celebrating the beauty, resilience, and fascinating life cycle of the spectacular butterfly! On June 6, the Amazing Butterflies Exhibit, a temporary exhibit created by The Natural History Museum in London in collaboration with Minotaur Mazes, will be open daily. Transforming the Court into a world of wonder, this interactive maze invites children to experience the metamorphosis of a butterfly through hands-on activities and learning stations.

Amazing Butterflies Exhibit

June 6 through September 21

Navigate the extraordinary metamorphosis of butterflies through an interactive maze and traveling exhibit in the Grace Farms Court, created by The Natural History Museum in London in collaboration with Minotaur Mazes. This wonderful exhibit offers interactive experiences centered around the butterfly life cycle. Adventure through the leaves, learn how to move like a caterpillar, then transform into a butterfly and take flight!

Learning with Nature

See nature at work with Director of Horticulture, Kimberly Kelly, who will lead workshops including Start a Beehive, Make an Herb Garden, Walk with Dragonflies, Extend your Garden Harvest, and Look at Butterfly Life.

Caterpillar Compass

Daily, self-guided

Pick up a junior explorer Field Guide and orienteer your way around Grace Farms, following the natural landmarks that shelter butterflies and caterpillars. Write, draw, or talk to a friend about what you see, and collect a butterfly stamp after completing your journey. Available as a private, guided tour upon request.

Slow down and appreciate nature in new and unexpected ways with engaging workshops inspired by the Grace Farms landscape and the Foundation’s five initiatives. Featuring Botanical Illustrations and Natural Pastels.

Encouraging our youngest builders, designers, and artists to think, play, create, and experiment with texture, form, line, color, and space.

Engage in open-ended inquiry and reflect on the building, its shapes and designs, and its ideas during this site-specific creative exploration for young audiences

Materials Studio

Tuesdays & Wednesdays, drop-in

Learn about the unique properties of the different materials in our With Every Fiber exhibit and, through art making, imagine new applications for them. Available until July 16.

Bunny Book Group

Fridays, 3 - 4 pm

All ages can explore the River building to learn about sustainability and architecture during this interactive tour complete with activity stations.

Enjoy an inspired picnic dinner crafted by our culinary team, extended hours in the community garden, and activities designed by our education team that share the wonders of ladybugs, dragonflies, and butterflies.
