TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS 

The second annual Design for Freedom Summit will be on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 from 9 am to 6 pm at Grace Farms in New Canaan, CT. Join us as we explore the ways in which we can work towards eliminating forced labor in the built environment.

Below you will find information about accommodations and transportation for the Summit.

Transportation

By Car:

Grace Farms is located at 365 Lukes Wood Road New Canaan, CT 06840. We provide limited complimentary parking.* For accurate travel time and driving directions, view the map. 

*Please note, in the event that our parking lot is full, our check-in booth will direct you to off-site parking. Our off-site parking is a short, five-minute drive located at Oakridge Commons, 260 Smith Ridge Road in Lewisboro, NY. A shuttle from Oakridge Commons will run continuously from 8am – 10:30 am.

Please park on the lefthand side of the shopping center, near the Veterinary Office, and board the shuttle to Grace Farms.

By Rail:

We are serviced by the Metro-North New Haven Line with direct lines to the New Canaan and Stamford stations. For accurate timetables, view MTA schedules.

The Stamford Station is also a major hub to Amtrak.

SHUTTLE ARRIVAL

From Stamford Train Station 

The pick-up location is directly across from the southbound platform (side closest to the highway). Please allow plenty of time to locate the shuttle.

From New Haven, please take one of the following trains:

From EVEN Hotel Shuttle

The shuttle will depart from the front of the hotel, and make a stop at the New Canaan Train Station prior to arriving at Grace Farms.

SHUTTLE RETURN

Return Travel to Stamford Train Station, Downtown New Canaan, New Canaan Train Station and EVEN Hotel will run at the following times.  

To Downtown New Canaan, New Canaan Train Station & EVEN Hotel

The shuttle will depart from the West Barn Welcome Center on a loop starting at 4:45pm. The shuttle will first stop at the New Canaan Train Station, with the final destination being EVEN Hotel.

Please note that there is gap of New Canaan train service from 5:17pm to 7:24pm, and guests arriving in Downtown New Canaan can enjoy restaurants and shopping experiences prior to their train departure.

To Stamford Train Station

Shuttles will depart Grace Farms’ Welcome Center at 5:10pm, 6:10pm, 7:10pm and 8:10pm.

To Oakridge Commons

Shuttles will run continuously from 4:30pm to 8:30pm to Oakridge Commons.

By Taxi/Ride Share:

Grace Farms is accessible by local taxi and ride sharing services, such as Uber and Lyft. Taxis are available at the New Canaan Train Station.

Accommodations

Grace Farms has secured a room block at the EVEN Hotel in Norwalk, CT for Wednesday, March 29^th and Thursday, March 30^th. The EVEN Hotel is within a 20-minute drive to Grace Farms and easily accessible by the Merritt Parkway and I-95. Please make all hotel arrangements by Monday, March 20th.
