Her extensive experience in the nonprofit sector has equipped her with the skills needed to lead financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. At Grace Farms, LaWanza manages financial reporting and coordinates the annual budgeting process, all while maintaining a strong focus on internal controls and risk management.
Before her current role, LaWanza was the Director of Finance & Administration at Earthplace, Inc., where she was pivotal in improving financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis. She also contributed significantly to operational efficiency by managing payroll, overseeing compliance, and supporting key decision-making processes. At Silvermine Arts Center, LaWanza’s expertise in budget management and grant compliance played a crucial role in the organization’s financial health, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.
