Cherie serves as Grace Farms Foundation’s first Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she provides leadership and service to the internal teams dedicated to creating the exceptional daily, on-site experiences for both visiting guests and staff. Cherie’s passion for the transformative power of place—and its ability to inspire—drew her to Grace Farms. She believes cultural institutions are uniquely positioned to create experiences of awe, wonder, and understanding that can lead people to awareness, compassion and advocacy.
Before joining the Grace Farms Foundation team, Cherie was the Vice President of Operations at the Connecticut Science Center where, for more than ten years, she served as part of the inaugural team who designed, constructed, and oversaw all of the back-of-house support operations for the institution, as well as all of the visitor-facing aspects and experiences. Previously, Cherie served as the Director of Visitor Services & Operations Officer at Mystic Seaport Museum. While Cherie has spent over 20 years as a leader in the not for profit cultural attraction field, she began her professional career in corporate human resources as a Senior HR Generalist for Asea Brown Boveri, providing organizational development, employee relations, and professional development support to the North American and international Business Area Units.
A Connecticut native, Cherie received her B.A. from the University of Saint Joseph, and her M.A. from the University of Connecticut.
