Grace Farms Foundation is confronting some of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time, many of which have become more acute since the COVID-19 crisis. Launched in March 2020 for direct personal protective equipment (PPE) donations and food relief, the Relief Fund for Connecticut is filling gaps through collaboration and a network of partnerships.
On July 19, 2021, Governor Ned Lamont signed an important bill at Grace Farms that will help the State of Connecticut be better prepared for future crises.
A landmark public-private partnership between Grace Farms and the State was established during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Led by Sharon Prince, our CEO and Founder, the Grace Farms Relief Fund for Connecticut worked to supply and deliver more than 2 Million PPE to frontline healthcare workers and first responders.
“Together, we were able to leverage expertise and work as one team across the government and in partnership with the private sector, to help keep our doctors, nurses and our brave first responders safe,” said Prince.
“I can’t stress enough the importance of this shipment to our members. Many have died and will die for lack of PPE. It is heartening to know that there are people and organizations who understand the stakes and act accordingly.”
