Practicing Awe Workshop | Summer 2016
An Arts Initiative collaboration that brought together Gallim Dance, Cindertalk, and members of the Yale Voxtet to focus on the process of engaging awe. This second installment in the Practicing series was inspired by UC Berkeley’s Dr. Dacher Keltner’s studies linking awe to positive trends in ethical formation and human social behavior, and the poetry of 16th Century Spanish poet, Juan de la Cruz. Three days of intense creation, conversation, workshop, and rehearsal culminated in a public showing and discussion. © Ben Stamper, 2016
