Voices of Culture | Jazzmeia Horn

Saturday, May 20, 2023, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

“Horn is among the most exciting young vocalists in jazz, with a proud traditionalism that keeps her tightly linked to the sound of classic figures like Nancy Wilson and Betty Carter, but a vivacity of spirit and conviction that places her firmly in the present.” – The New York Times

Join us for an unforgettable concert by Grammy-nominated artist and one of the most compelling jazz vocalists of her generation, Jazzmeia Horn!

Jazzmeia Horn’s inventive style has earned her numerous awards, including Outstanding Jazz Album for “Love and Liberation” at the 51st NAACP Image Awards. She is also a 64th, 62nd, and 60th Grammy Awards Nominee and has performed at notable jazz festivals and venues across the globe.

Deeply influenced by Sarah Vaughan, Abbey Lincoln, Betty Carter, and Ella Fitzgerald, Jazzmeia combines her sensational vocal aptitude, inventive sense of arrangement, and spiritual calling to inspire and heal through music and deliver one-of-a-kind performances.

Voices of Culture, a musical series exploring beauty in diverse musical traditions, began at Grace Farms in January 2023 and is curated by Grace Farms Music Director, saxophonist, composer, and mathematician, Marcus G. Miller.

Vocalists are invited to attend Jazzmeia Horn’s Masterclass earlier in the day. Attendees who choose to attend both the masterclass and concert can bundle tickets on our registration page.
