Nature’s Classroom | Spring’s Native Wildflowers

Saturday, March 23, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Horticulture Advisor Kimberly Kelly to learn about the important role ephemerals and wildflowers play in providing food for beneficial insects and other woodland creatures during the spring — and how to incorporate these plants into your own landscape.

Nature’s Classroom is a monthly program series inviting hands-on and seasonal explorations of the Grace Farms nature preserve to deepen learning, appreciation, and connection to the natural world. This series is designed for teens and adults and hosted by Grace Farms Horticulture Director Kimberly Kelly.

Kimberly Kelly has over 25 years of experience facilitating and educating communities about nature conservation. She is a UConn Advanced Master Gardener, serves as President of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Master Gardener Association.
