Nature’s Classroom | Native Plants for Every Season

Native meadows and the River building at Grace Farms

Walk the fall landscape with our Director of Horticulture, Kimberly Kelly, and learn how and when to collect native seeds. Kelly will discuss proper seed storage and everything you’ll need to know to foster germination in the seasons ahead.

About Nature’s Classroom

Nature’s Classroom is a monthly program series inviting hands-on and seasonal explorations of the Grace Farms nature preserve to deepen learning, appreciation, and connection to the natural world. This series is for teens and adults and hosted by Grace Farms Horticulture Director Kimberly Kelly.

About Kimberly Kelly

Kimberly Kelly has over 25 years of experience facilitating and educating communities about horticulture and ecology (nature conservation). Formerly at UCONN Extension, CT DEEP, and the CT Science Center, she is a UConn Advanced Master Gardener, serves as President of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Master Gardener Association.
