Nature’s Classroom | Create a Flowering Lawn

Learn how to preserve recreational space while transforming landscapes of any size into a flowering meadow, full of plants that are beneficial to pollinators, including bees and butterflies, as well as the environment with our Director of Horticulture, Kimberly Kelly.

About Nature’s Classroom

Nature’s Classroom is a monthly program series offering hands-on, seasonal explorations of the Grace Farms nature preserve to deepen learning, appreciation, and connection to the natural world. This series is designed for teens and adults and hosted by Grace Farms Horticulture Director Kimberly Kelly.

About Kimberly Kelly

Kimberly Kelly has over 25 years of experience facilitating and educating communities about horticulture and ecology (nature conservation). Formerly at UCONN Extension, CT DEEP, and the CT Science Center, she is a UConn Advanced Master Gardener, serves as President of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Master Gardener Association.
