Spend time connecting with the natural world during this year’s Earth Day celebration, inviting guests to explore all corners of our natural landscape from the far-reaching groves of trees to the tranquil pond brimming with life. There will be self-guided activities available all day, including Birdwatch Bingo, games in the court, and so much more.
Our Earth Day schedule of activities includes:
10 am – 4 pm, Arts Studio
Open Arts Studio | Sound Mapping
Listen to the sounds heard across the River building and nature preserve, then record your observations on a community sound map in the Arts Studio!
10:30 am – 12 pm, Court
The Birds of Grace Farms
Observe birds in the restored meadows and learn how they can support a healthy ecosystem in a natural landscape. A Grace Farms Educator will be in the Court Mezzanine with you to answer any bird questions!
11 am – 12 pm, West Barn Hall
Creating Kindness Through Creatures
Say hello to a diverse group of friendly animals from Animal Embassy! During this visit, explore the power of showing kindness and respect to all living things and learn the special role each creature plays in its natural environment.
12 pm, library
Who’s Waking Up? with Horticulture Director Kimberly Kelly and Master Gardener Lauren Elliott
Learn how plants, insects, and amphibians survived the winter, and how you can support the local ecosystem.

The Secret Life of Seeds
Discover the seeds collected from ten biodiverse habitats at Grace Farms with our educator Patrice.
