Kick off your weekend with an art-filled escape at The Aldrich! Every Friday this summer, the Museum is open until 7 pm for a lively and relaxing happy hour experience. Enjoy tours featuring hand-selected works from our current exhibitions led by Aldrich Educators and unleash your creativity with fun, hands-on activities and games in The Studio. Or simply unwind in our newly renovated Sculpture Garden, where you can mingle with friends and enjoy the outdoors.

Attend an outdoor conversation between artists Martin Beck and Elle Pérez, moderated by The Aldrich’s Associate Curator, Eduardo Andres Alfonso.

Taking place in the Museum’s newly renovated Sculpture Garden—weather permitting—this talk will explore the intersection of each artist’s practice and dives into the current exhibition, Martin Beck: … for hours, days, or weeks at a time, on view until October 5, 2025.

Sensory Saturday is a program designed for children (ages 4-12) with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, those on the autism spectrum and their family members.

Explore the Glass House campus at your own pace on days dedicated to self-guided visits to the site.  Educators will be available across the site to provide information and answer questions. Visitors on self-guided tour days will have access to The Glass House, Brick House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, Studio, Pavilion in the Pond, Monument to Lincoln Kirstein, Da Monsta and both upper and lower landscapes.

The Glass House, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is pleased to present Barbara Kasten: Structure, Light, Land. For five decades, Chicago-based artist Barbara Kasten has created photographs and sculptural installations that reorient our sense of perception and explore the dynamic relationship between space, material, and form.

“Women, Modernism, and Philip Johnson” brings new attention to the overlooked subject of architect Philip Johnson’s associations with some of the women who embraced and promoted modernism from the 1930s through the 1950s.

This free event will be held at New Canaan Library.

June 6 – August 26

Families, navigate the extraordinary metamorphosis of butterflies through an interactive indoor maze and traveling exhibit in Grace Farms’ Court, created by The Natural History Museum in London in collaboration with Minotaur Mazes. Adventure through the leaves, learn how to move like caterpillar, discover an ant that reaps the reward of an unusual friendship, then transform into a butterfly and take flight! Please note, this exhibit does not have live butterflies.

Grace Farms’ Music Director Marcus Garrick Miller will be performing a full concert with his band IWM as a special treat for the summer. It will feature classics you may remember from his Beauty and Logic Series as well, new music composed specifically for this concert and some surprise guests. This will be your only chance to see his show at Grace Farms this year; make sure you don’t miss out!

Join artist, educator, and designer Natalie Stopka for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own pastels using brick, slate, and gypsum. Participants will mix their own pigments and craft unique pastels to take home.

The Art in Nature workshop series is inspired by the Grace Farms landscape and the Foundation’s five initiatives, with instruction, hands-on opportunities to practice new skills, and a takeaway made by each participant.

This series of large-scale, multidimensional portraits honors sixteen extraordinary yet often overlooked women, celebrating their individuality and the artist’s evolution. Silvermine is honored to be the first stop on this traveling exhibition.

The 75th A•ONE is an international exhibition highlighting the diversity of work that is
currently being made by established and emerging artists.

Established in 1949 as the New England Exhibition, a regional exhibit, it later became known as Art of the Northeast and is now a national exhibition. It features a wide range of collectible contemporary artwork that is both vibrant and surprising.
