Grace Farms Foundation is addressing needs that surface as the COVID-19 crisis continues
In response to the COVID-19 emergency, Grace Farms Foundation has remained agile and inventive in our efforts to support our not-for-profit partners and our community, both locally and globally.
Though our public space is closed, we have continued our work by creating the Grace Farms Alliance Against COVID-19. This includes opening our kitchen to bring food to those in need, launching the Grace Farms Relief Fund for Connecticut, addressing the critical shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in real time for health care workers and first responders, and supporting the development of software to identify PPE needs nationwide.
Grace Farms Foundation is making an immediate impact in our community and beyond.
Medical Supplies Relief: 1,926,092 Total Units of PPEs delivered
The Grace Farms Relief Fund for Connecticut, established with private donations totaling $2.5 million to help address the critical shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); including N95 and KN95 respirator masks, gowns/coveralls, and face shields for health care workers and first responders in Connecticut.
DELIVERED: FDA certified N95 respirator masks procured and donated to the front lines, including Connecticut hospitals, COVID-19 clinics and testing sites, first responders and skilled nursing facilities in local towns. This includes 190,000 respirator masks supplied to the state of Connecticut at cost.
DELIVERED: Full Isolation Coveralls to Fairfield County and New Haven Hospitals and First Responders.
DELIVERED: Total pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including N95 masks, surgical and disposable masks, coveralls, face shields, gloves, caps, and goggles and are currently in use statewide.
Food Relief
Our team is working to serve the most vulnerable during our temporary closure, providing healthy meals for those without food security in our local neighborhoods and communities.
Individuals provided with healthy meals from March 16-June 28, increasing food security for some of the County's most vulnerable populations.
Not-for-profit partner organizations engaged, helping to provide support to the elderly, refugees and immigrants, homeless and working poor, and those impacted by domestic violence.
Towns receiving aid across Fairfield County to include Bridgeport, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, and Stamford.
Data Development
Grace Farms is further supporting those on the front lines of this pandemic through a partner grant of $250,000 to Helena to develop a national predictive medical supply data platform. Helena’s COVID Network is a non-profit, open-source platform that lets organizations in need of critical medical supplies request help from healthcare and government leaders.
The Network’s purpose is to answer the most critical questions facing those with the power to deliver aid, including where extra supplies (masks, globes, ventilators, hydroxychloroquine), and doctors themselves, most needed now, and where will they be most needed tomorrow, next week and beyond.
