Grace Farms Foundation hosted a panel discussion on the impact opiate addiction has on our community. Stuart Knechtle, Mdiv, MA, MFT/MHC, who oversees mental health marriage and family counseling at the local non-denominational Grace Community Church, led a panel of experts in prevention, treatment, and law enforcement on how to effectively alleviate suffering, battle the stigma, understand the legal consequences, and develop preventative measures against one of the most dangerous drugs of our day.
Our panelists, Dr. Frank Bartolomeo, PhD, Director of Behavioral Health Services at Southfield Center for Development; Martin Brault, MS, CAC, LADC, a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor; Rod Khattabi, Grace Farms Foundation’s Director of Safety and Justice Initiative Advisor; Ines Cenatiempo, Victim Witness Coordinator for the United States Attorney’s Office; and Devin McCross, an inspiring speaker and leader on the topic of substance abuse, have helped us to compile the following resources for affected families.
