Silent Auction, Lot #1: Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, with Girard Upholstery
Fair Market Value: $6,395 | Starting Bid: $3000
The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman (1956)—arguably the most recognizable furniture designs of the 20th century—is a seat that you can sink into, now and for decades to come. In continuous production since its introduction, this set is widely considered one of the most significant designs of the last 100 years.
Combining soft, sustainably-sourced fabric—featuring a newly-released check pattern by celebrated textile designer Alexander Girard—with sleek, molded-wood forms, the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman is the culmination of the Eameses’ efforts to create a club chair using the molded plywood technology they pioneered in the ’40s. Even today, each piece is assembled by hand to ensure the highest level of quality and craftsmanship, and you’ll be pleased to discover the iconic set gets even better with use and age. Cushions snap in and can be removed and changed. This is an authentic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Herman Miller.

Additionally, an occasion playlist will be created by Grace Farms Foundation’s Arts Initiative.
