Conductor, violinist, and educator Suzie Collier and Grace Farms Music Director, saxophonist, and mathematician Marcus G. Miller will share the secrets and techniques to inspiring musical imagination in children and reigniting musical passion in adults. Collier and Miller will also perform a duet on violin and saxophone respectively, and invite the audience to join in on the music-making!

Suzie Collier is an internationally sought-after teacher, conductor and violinist, combining a wealth of experience with an ability to inspire students and audiences.
She has conducted the recording sessions for Jacob Collier’s Djesse Volume 4 album in Amsterdam with the Metropole Orkest, for Stormzy on the orchestral version of his song, “Firebabe”, at the Abbey Road Studios in London, and looks forward to being a guest conductor with the Britten Sinfonia. She has conducted the Chamber Orchestra at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department for the past three decades.
Collier freelances as a violinist with orchestras worldwide and has played many times at the BBC Proms. She also collaborates and performs with her son, six-time Grammy Award Winner Jacob Collier. She has been a guest on the Jools Holland tour, and was the Concertmaster at the ACDA conference in Cincinnati, alongside the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers.
Through her masterclass series Suzie Explores Retreats, Suzie shares her expertise and nuanced musical and creative philosophy. She also gives masterclasses at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Academy of Music, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also hosts her own podcast, Suzie Explores, in which she invites internationally acclaimed musicians to discuss their thoughts on music and life.
Suzie has been made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music (FRAM) for outstanding services to the music profession.
