Nature’s Classroom | Butterflies and Moths

Saturday, August 24, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn about the beautiful butterflies and moths you’ll find in Connecticut! Explore how and where they spend their lives, and all the ways you can create more habitats for these incredible pollinators in your own yard or community.

Nature’s Classroom is a monthly program series inviting hands-on and seasonal explorations of the Grace Farms nature preserve to deepen learning, appreciation, and connection to the natural world. This series is designed for teens and adults and hosted by Grace Farms Horticulture Director Kimberly Kelly.

Kimberly Kelly has over 25 years of experience facilitating and educating communities about horticulture and ecology (nature conservation). Formerly at UCONN Extension, CT DEEP and the CT Science Center, she is a UConn Advanced Master Gardener, serves as President of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Master Gardener Association.
