Mercury Rising

Join NCHS Planetarium Director Tim Haag and Nature Initiative Director Mark Fowler for an evening of star-gazing as our solar system’s innermost planet rises above the horizon for the best viewing of the year. Watch as Mercury reaches its greatest eastern elongation and learn more about the planet, from its physical characteristics and orbital period, to the origin of its name.
