Grace Farms Foundation today announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Liberty Shared, a global counter-trafficking nongovernmental organization (NGO), to combat human and wildlife trafficking. The partnership, which will initially focus on countries in Africa, will work to train national and international law enforcement agencies and NGOs to disrupt trafficking through investigative methodologies, data gathering and analysis management.
The collaboration between Grace Farms Foundation and Liberty Shared underscores their mutual agreement that businesses and individuals profiting from trafficking should be held accountable and liable for their criminal activities. This partnership will combine the Foundation’s Justice Initiative expertise in training, policy development, and public advocacy, with Liberty Shared’s work in data and research analysis, technology application and legal advocacy.
“To effectively improve society’s ability to respond to the abuse of vulnerable people and wildlife, the critical infrastructure of well-trained and properly supported law enforcement and NGO teams must be in place,” said Rod Khattabi, Director of Global Justice Initiative Trainings & Risk Officer at Grace Farms Foundation. “We are proud to partner with an organization such as Liberty Shared that has committed itself to combatting trafficking and providing greater resources in our shared mission to fight this transnational organized crime.”

Upcoming training topics may include human investigation training, human trafficking victim identity training, wildlife trafficking investigation training, the use of effective technology for law enforcement to pursue investigations, and equipping law enforcement to make financial seizures related to investigations.
This MOU builds upon Grace Farms Foundation’s commitment to develop comprehensive strategies and partnerships designed to disrupt and combat all forms of contemporary slavery and wildlife trafficking on a global scale.
