Ms. Teenah Jutton is a member on the board of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU (Inter Parliamentary Union). She is also a member of the Gender Caucus. Being the youngest in Parliament at the moment, and as a fervent youth and gender advocate, she strives to empower our youths and young women.
Prior to being a Parliamentarian, she was employed as Lecturer at the Open University of Mauritius. She is a Youth & Gender Advocate and has pledged to support SDGs 4 and 5. She has held working sessions with youths to work on community-based projects with the goal of empowering youth, and encouraging young women to transform their passion into a vocation.
Ms. Jutton is also a Mental Health Activist and has been engaged in several programs to bring about mental health awareness.
She is a member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World, a a past member of the Employment Relations Tribunal, and listed in the top 5 Young Outstanding Persons in Mauritius.
