Protecting Wildlife | Saving the Cheetah

Friday, January 18, 2019, 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for an in-depth look at cheetahs—the most endangered cats in Africa. Richard Wiese, President of The Explorers Club and Emmy Award-winning Producer, will screen a one-hour special where he travels to Namibia and talks with Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, to better understand how loss of habitat, human-wildlife conflict, and the illegal wildlife trade have impacted cheetah populations worldwide. Following the screening, Wiese and Grace Farms Foundation’s Nature Initiative Director, Mark Fowler, will lead a discussion about what’s being done to save cheetahs from extinction.
