Living Classroom | Invasive Plants

Saturday, July 15, 2023, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Ecosystems have evolved to be incredible, highly functional, and diverse communities of soil, water, plants, and animals. What happens when an invasive plant arrives as an uninvited guest?

Learn about the direct and indirect threat of invasive species in Connecticut during this interactive session with Horticulture Advisor Kimberly Kelly, who will explore strategies and alternatives that can help protect our natural landscapes.

Living Classroom is a new four-part program series occurring monthly from June to September, inviting guests to learn about nature from different aspects of the “living classroom” that is Grace Farms’ 80-acre nature preserve. Recommended for ages 12+.

The next Living Classroom is on Saturday, August 26, and September 16.
