Garden Workshop | Home Herb Garden

Saturday, July 20, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

You can grow herbs anywhere! Gardeners of all experience levels are invited to step into the Community Garden to explore the ease of planting and growing fresh herbs in gardens, on patios, or on windowsills.

During this hands-on class, discuss how to dry herbs — like lavender or chamomile — or how to prepare them to accompany any delicious meal.

Herb plants will be provided for participants to take home.

Gardening Workshops invite you to explore sustainable, native-friendly, and eco-conscious practices that can benefit plants, animals, and the planet. Each hands-on workshop, offered monthly, is for all levels of experience and led by Grace Farms Master Gardener Lauren Elliott.

Lauren Elliott has more than 20 years of gardening experience. At Grace Farms, she facilitates experiential gardening classes, daily educational talks, and meadow walks. She also offers field training to students in the Master Gardener Extension program sponsored by UConn’s College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources.
