This is a special time of year at Grace Farms—a time when our guests can embrace the holidays while contributing to not-for-profits serving our local communities. Escape for a day trip or spend a weekend connecting with the spirit of the season and accelerating the work of local not-for-profits at Grace Farms.
10:30–11:00 am | Tour the grounds and enjoy winter landscapes
11:00 am-11:45 pm | Warm up with fireside games in the Library & visit our Giving Tree
11:45 am–12:45 pm | Make snowflakes and enjoy lunch in the Commons
12:45–2:15pm | Take our Grace Farms Tour (offered Saturdays)
2:15–3 pm | Browse our selection of holiday gifts and featured books in the Library
3–4 pm | Relax with Songs of the Season in the Sanctuary (offered December 19-22, 26-28)
Create & Converse | After taking in the expansive views on our walking trails, head to the Commons to enjoy our seasonal lunch menu. While you eat, participate in some charitable crafting with paper snowflakes! These snowflakes will help to spread winter cheer to local families in need through the Walter E. Luckett Foundation.
Games & Giving | Settle in around the fireplace in the Grace Farms Library to enjoy a game of checkers or chess. While you’re there, browse our selection of holiday gifts and featured books, and visit the Grace Farms Giving Tree, a tradition we continue in partnership with the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants. Choose an ornamental card from the tree and provide a gift for a recently resettled refugee or trafficking survivor in Connecticut. Gifts may be dropped off at Grace Farms by December 18th for delivery.
Relax & Reflect | Songs of the Season offers the perfect opportunity to wind down from your day. Against the wintery backdrop of our 80-acre preserve, these improvisational arrangements of calming seasonal music, performed by Lisa Lynne Kirkpatrick, Karen Nisenson, Joyce DiCamillo, Doug Hartline, Jay Azzolina, and Tod Hedrick, provide peace and tranquility this holiday season.
