The Virtual is Real
Grace Farms Foundation | Not-for-Profit + Community Response
Grace Farms Foundation was founded to advance good in the world and confront long-standing pressing humanitarian issues, together with the public, private and government sectors. In response to the COVID-19 emergency, Grace Farms Foundation has remained agile and inventive in our efforts to support our not-for-profit partners and our community, both locally and globally.
Though our public space is closed, we have continued our work by creating the Grace Farms Alliance Against COVID-19. This includes opening our kitchen to bring food to those in need, launching the Grace Farms Relief Fund for Connecticut, addressing the critical shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in real time for health care workers and first responders, and supporting the development of software to identify PPE needs nationwide.
Globally, not-for-profit organizations face the immediate concerns of COVID-19, as well as the long-term implications in its wake. Until we can support you as we normally would through programming, strategy sessions, and space grants at Grace Farms, we are providing a list of trusted resources we hope you’ll find helpful during this collective pause.
We are here for you during this time to discuss challenges, talk through strategic choices, or look for other not-for-profit organizations facing similar challenges that we might connect you with. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Karen Kariuki, Community Initiative Director.
“As a foundation dedicated to advancing good and addressing pressing humanitarian issues through our place and initiatives, we are working as hard as ever to uniquely serve our community during our temporary closure.
Our extraordinary team at Grace Farms Foundation is addressing the needs of the COVID-19 pandemic as they arise. From preparing meals and providing pantry staples to those in need to securing critical personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders and health care workers throughout the state – we are committed to responding in real time to this crisis.”
Grace Farms Foundation is partnering with several local not-for-profits throughout Fairfield County to provide healthy food for local families and communities in need. Working with the partners below, from March 16 through June 22, we will have served 20,167 individuals.
