Start with a dynamic warm up and stretch followed by a full body workout targeting muscle groups that will help you become a stronger and more powerful runner. Afterwards\, sip tea from Grace Farms Tea & Coffee with Battis\, who will lead a myth-busting discussion about running that offers tips for beginning runners\, proper nutrition for runners\, and more. \nThis class is open to all levels of fitness as well as beginner or advanced runners. \nPlease note\, Move with Grace Farms x lululemon classes will be held outdoors in June\, July\, and August\, and are subject to cancellation due to rain. In the event of rain\, classes will be cancelled and refunded. \nAbout Move with Grace Farms x lululemon\nMove with Grace Farms x lululemon is a series of monthly movement classes hosted in partnership with local lululemon ambassadors. These classes\, for all levels of experience\, focus on restoring and igniting the energy needed to live a more balanced life. To enhance the wellness experience\, each class includes a cup of tea from Grace Farms Tea & Coffee\, a Certified B Corp\, picked specifically to complement the movement. \nAbout Brittany Battis\nBrittany Battis is a nurse\, athlete\, and certified Running Coach. Her running resume includes a marathon personal best of 2 hours and 59 minutes and 17 minutes 59 seconds in the 5k. Brittany works with athletes ranging from beginner walk/runners to experienced marathoners. She provides 1:1 customized coaching built to each individual’s needs\, history\, skill level and goals and strives to not only uplift and inspire her athletes to go the distance but also guide their training in a smart\, strategic and fun way. She wears many hats as a running coach and most would say she is also a cheerleader\, friend\, mentor\, and your number one fan.

A demonstration of our continuing efforts to be as sustainable as possible\, in 2024\, we were awarded Gold certification for Building Operations and Maintenance\, building on our LEED Silver certification in 2019. \nThe River building was awarded the prestigious 2014/2015 Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP)\, in addition to the AIA National 2017 Architecture Honor Award and AIA Connecticut 2016 Design Honor Award. \nApproved for AIA CES 1.5 LU

DESCRIPTION:This 15-minute pop-up talk introduces the Caterpillar Compass\, an interactive field guide bringing families with young visitors on an outdoor adventure to discover the incredible lives of caterpillars and butterflies. \nCaterpillar Compass\, which comes with a compass and booklet\, guides visitors around the natural landmarks that shelter butterflies and caterpillars. At special stopping points\, the guide offers prompts where children can write\, draw\, or talk to a friend about what they see. \nYou can also pick up a self-guided booklet at the Noticing Nature pop-up talk in the Commons. \nCaterpillar Compass is available as a private and guided tour for groups upon request. As you taste a range of tea varietals from across the globe\, learn about the tea itself\, the distinct wares in which it’s served\, how it’s presented\, and more. \nJourney Into the World of Tea is a tranquil and in-depth exploration of tea offering guests a taste of different notable varietals from cultures around the world\, examples of demonstrations\, and more. \nAbout Frank Kwei\nFrank Kwei welcomes the public with a simple cup of tea and invites them into a deeper appreciation of the intentionality of SANAA’s architecture and the impact of the Foundation’s work to advance good in the world. Before joining Grace Farms\, Frank co-founded and managed a boutique tea company based in Brooklyn\, New York\, and spent several years focused on the sourcing and supply chains for tea ingredients. Frank has brought that experience to the Foundation’s work on ethical and sustainable supply chains across sectors\, including tea\, coffee\, food\, and architecture.

This exhibit is Grace Farms’ first major initiative to bring this movement to the public.
