DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exploration of three powerful spiritual practices. A panel of experts will discuss how mindfulness\, meditation\, and prayer can help to foster greater compassion\, expand our capacity for joy\, and improve our ability to manage stress. \nThe panel includes Lynn Koerbel\, a teacher at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center for Mindfulness that focuses on the scientific\, evidence-based approach of mindfulness meditation through Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction; Reverend Steve Kanji Ruhl\, an ordained Zen Buddhist minister; and Pastor Bruce Halsted\, who will discuss the effectiveness of the Releasing Prayer model that has deeply impacted the lives and work of faith leaders around the country.
