Even in families that care deeply about values like fairness, love, inclusion, and equality, parents often struggle to engage their children in conversations about race, racism, and other systems of oppression. But when approached with intention, parents and caregivers can play a powerful role in how children exhibit these important values and make meaning of the world around them.

This training course, moderated by Kate Gerson and Samantha Hoare from REthinc, will provide parents with supportive tools, strategies, and approaches to ensure that their children are good friends and neighbors, work to strengthen their communities, and ultimately live into values of inclusion. Bring a friend and join us in building a more inclusive community.

Hosted in partnership with REthinc, an interracial consulting group focused on building inclusive, equitable organizations in the public and private sectors.

REthinc is made up of trained and tested practitioners who have known and worked together in different times and capacities toward  a common mission to end systemic racism.

From the executive offices of industry giants to the classrooms of small urban schools, we work to support the evolution, mending and transformation of organizations and professional communities as they work to understand and undo the effects of implicit and persistent racist practices  in our workplaces.
