DESCRIPTION:Architecture Moves Us | 9th Anniversary Benefit\nCelebrate Grace Farms’ ninth anniversary with an awe-inspiring evening performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Surrounded by picturesque autumnal foliage in the glass-enclosed Sanctuary\, a 31-musician chamber ensemble of musicians from the Orchestra\, conducted by LPO 2023/24 Fellow Conductor Luis Castillo-Briceño\, will present a moving program that incorporates our theme Architecture Moves Us and illuminates the purpose of our Foundation. \nFollowing the performance\, join us for a cocktail reception as we toast to nine incredible years of culture\, collaboration\, and new outcomes at Grace Farms. Grace Farms Foundation’s annual benefit contributes to the ongoing preservation and sustainability of Grace Farms. \n  \nProgram\nConducted by LPO 2023/24 Fellow Conductor Luis Castillo-Briceño \nJessie Montgomery\nStrum \nMaurice Ravel\nLe Tombeau de Couperin \nWolfgang Amadeus Mozart\nSymphony No. 40 \nThe LPO Conducting Fellowship is generously supported by Patricia Haitink with additional support from Gini and Richard Gabbertas. \n\n \nPreview the Concert Repertoire\n \n  \n  \nAbout the London Philharmonic Orchestra\nSince its founding in 1932\, the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) has been celebrated as one of the world’s great and innovative orchestras. Its numerous recordings span television\, radio\, video games\, and films including Lawrence of Arabia and The Lord of the Rings. Non-classical recordings include the 205 national anthems that played at medal ceremonies during the London 2012 Summer Olympics.  \nLPO’s highly anticipated performance at our upcoming 9th Anniversary Benefit marks its third collaboration with Grace Farms. \nA recording of an LPO quartet is featured prominently in the Design for Freedom exhibit With Every Fiber\, currently on view in the West Barn. The music was initially performed in London on June 12\, 2022\, UN World Day Against Child Labor\, inside the 2022 Serpentine Pavilion—Black Chapel by Theaster Gates\, a Design for Freedom Pilot Project. \n \n
