In This Life: Secular Faith and Spiritual Freedom\, Martin Hägglund\, Professor of Comparative Literature at Yale\, argues that it is exactly this sense of fragility and the possibility of loss that make our lives meaningful. As long as we have attachments to lose\, we are susceptible to suffering\, but to be liberated from that risk would also mean losing all sense of genuine care or meaning in our lives. \nJoin us for a Zoom conversation between Faith Initiative Director\, Dr. Matthew Croasmun and Prof. Hägglund\, exploring the tenants of his book.
