SUMMARY:Grace Farms Tour with Arts Initiative Curator Pamela Ruggio
DESCRIPTION:Explore the River\, a meandering glass building designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects SANAA. Arts Initiative Curator Pamela Ruggio will present the five site-specific installations commissioned specifically for Grace Farms by artists Thomas Demand\, Olafur Eliasson\, Teresita Fernández\, Beatriz Milhazes\, and Susan Philipsz\, as well as the Arts Iniatiative’s Practicing Joy workshop and new project from Julianne Swartz—a temporary installation currently on exhibit in the Sanctuary and Library. The tour begins with complimentary tea in the Pavilion. \nPlease note that this tour accommodates 18 participants\, and reservations are accepted on a first-come\, first-served basis. Grace Farms Tours include a substantial amount of walking\, including time outdoors between volumes of the River building\, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. \nAn additional tour with Arts Initiative Curator Pamela Ruggio is available on December 5th.
