Rediscover George Orwell's dystopian novel, 1984, with our May Book Group. The story takes place in an age where an agency called the Ministry of Truth seeks to oversee the daily thought lives of citizens. The plot escalates when our narrator, Winston Smith, begins thinking for himself.

Since January, this modern classic has enjoyed a resurgence, with a record number of copies sold worldwide. Join us as we read it and discuss why it has made such a comeback in recent days.

1984 can be purchased ($9.99) or borrowed from the Grace Farms Library.

This month's book group will be offered on both Thursday, May 25th from 7-8 pm and Friday, May 26th from 11 am-12 pm. Choose a time that works best for you and join in our discussion.

Join our monthly book groups! Next month, we will read Notes of a Native Son and "Letter from a Birmingham Jail".
