Join our April Book Group as we read Swamplandia!, an energetic debut novel from the young and highly acclaimed author, Karen Russell. Russell takes us on a spellbinding adventure through the Florida swamplands with the Bigtree family, a tight-knit group of sham-Indian alligator wrestlers reckoning with a family tragedy. The story is told through the eyes of thirteen-year-old narrator, Ava, who sets out on an adventure to save her family and, along the way, reminds us of how strong and strange love can be.

Swamplandia! can be purchased ($15.95) or borrowed from the Grace Farms Library.

This month's book group will be offered on both Thursday, April 27th from 7-8 pm and Friday, April 28th from 11 am-12 pm. Choose a time that works best for you and join in our discussion.

Join our upcoming monthly Book Groups. In May we will read George Orwell's 1984. Our June Book Group, meeting on June 29th and June 30th, will read Notes of a Native Son and "Letters from a Birmingham Jail".
