Spend the evening with award-winning poet, Spencer Reece, who will be presenting the film Voices Beyond the Wall: Twelve Poems from the Murder Capital of the World. The film follows his time spent living and teaching poetry at Our Little Roses, an all girls orphanage in San Pedro Sula, a Central American city infamous for its crime and violence. Voices Beyond the Wall, produced by James Franco, includes remarkable poems written by the young women of Our Little Roses in gorgeous, thoughtful vignettes, and is an intimate study of home, sisterhood, and the power of poetry to articulate our deepest fears and propel our greatest hopes.

After the film, a brief reading from Reece will be followed by a book signing.
